Comments and concerns registered then are reflected in this Statement of Conservation Interest. The public was consulted prior to the regulation of Nova Township Clay Plain Peatlands Conservation Reserve and prior to the approval of this SCI. This SCI was been reviewed by staff specialists at both the district and regional level of the Ministry of Natural Resources. Should significant facility development be considered or complex issues arise requiring additional studies, more defined management direction, such as a conservation reserve Resource Management Plan ( RMP), may be developed. More detailed direction at this time is not anticipated. This basic SCI will provide guidance for the management of the conservation reserve and the basis for the ongoing monitoring of activities.
